Also known as Sexy Jae, Jo Jutsu Charlatan is an NYC-based creative & professional scholar. She holds an array of Bachelors Degrees from Syracuse University & Lehman College respectively, in the fields of Psychology, African American Studies, Multimedia Performing Arts, Film & TV Studies, Digital Music Applications & Studio Art.
As an artist, she's constantly chasing the kind of storytelling that uplifts & inspires the underrepresented & marginalized. She uses her voice to inspire folks who may have a lived experience not too dissimilar from her own, e. g the career changers, the unapologetically queer, the overachieving Black nerds, the neurodivergent and those who’ve always leaned a little left of center.
In 2023 Jae founded The Network for Stage & Screen Artists, a haven for artists from all walks of life who enjoy amplifying their work in the spirit of collaboration.
